Building Better Bones- Join us- Aug. 30th
This month’s Breakfast Club features James Hilliard from OsteoStrong. Learn how just 15 minutes a week can build bone, boost strength, and support long-term health.
This month’s Breakfast Club we are talking all about BONES- what I would consider, a relatively overlooked system within the body.
Of course, bones are super super important for all of the structural and protective mechanisms they provide. They are the basic building structure of the body and serve for protection for our most vital organs, like our brain, heart and lungs.
But theres SO much more thats going on within our bone tissue that plays a role in the health of our entire body:
Immune health: Bones are the birthplace of a majority of our immune cells- helping us better fight disease
Mineral Storage: bones house the bulk of our mineral stores- including calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, sodium and potassium and help regulate mineral levels for the rest of the body
Hormonal Influences: estrogen slows the breakdown of bones and testosterone helps maintain bone density
Bone density has even been said to be a marker of longevity and a direct reflection of the way that your body is metabolizing food, handling stress and responding to physical activity.
Beyond hormones and structure, nutrients play a major role in bone strength- you know I HAD to talk about food in here at some point;)
Ensuring you are getting adequate protein, minerals like magnesium and calcium, and fat-soluble vitamins provide the raw materials bones need to grow and repair. When paired with the right kind of training stimulus, nutrition creates the foundation for long-term bone health.
I’m especially excited this month to highlight James Hilliard, owner of OsteoStrong. This unique organization focuses specifically on bone health, helping people train in ways that directly support stronger bones
Their programing uses targeted machines and controlled time under tension to load the body in a way that stimulates bone growth - all in less than 15 minutes a week
James will share his own testimony on how he trained using solely OsteoStrong programming once a week for 12 weeks and the incredible improvements he saw in his strength, performance, and body composition.
It’s a true testament that bone health matters- not only to help you avoid life altering injuries but improve your overall health and longevity.
Join us on Saturday, August 30th at 9am at Apex Animal House in Colorado Springs to learn more, move your body, eat some food, and celebrate the importance of bone health
See you there!
